Job Title: Loan Servicing Rep

Status: Full-Time (Non-Exempt)

Compensation: $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience

Position Summary:

The Loan Servicing Representative is responsible for handling various administrative tasks related to commercial and residential mortgage loans as well as consumer loans. This position supports loan servicing functions such as maintaining loan data, disbursing escrow funds, monitoring insurance and taxes, and performing reconciliations, all in alignment with established policies and procedures. In addition to the core responsibilities listed below, the individual in this role is expected to deliver exceptional customer service to both internal teams and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Process tax and insurance payments from escrow accounts.

Monitor insurance coverage, including flood insurance, and handle disbursements for escrowed loans.

Prepare and send out letters regarding tax/insurance breaches and non-sufficient funds.

Post loan payments, process checks, and handle wires.

Support bill mailing activities.

Research and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Provide customer support for questions related to payments, transactions, error resolution, and general loan servicing inquiries.

Set up and maintain loan files for new loans.

Scan and manage daily loan documentation.

Foster teamwork and demonstrate service excellence in all interactions.

Track and manage documentation related to error resolution and information requests, in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Audit and track loans via tax service reports, flood certifications, and delinquent tax lists.

Review and manage daily loan servicing reports.

Serve as a Notary for loan-related documents, such as satisfactions.

Provide backup support for other loan servicing staff and complete other tasks as needed.

Stay updated on changes in bank products, policies, and procedures.

Participate in special projects and additional duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Solid knowledge of mortgage products, loan servicing processes, and regulatory compliance, including audit and reporting standards.

Proven decision-making skills in handling complex financial matters.

Ability to interact effectively with senior management and external business professionals.

Basic accounting knowledge for reporting and analysis purposes.

Proficient with standard computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.

Strong communication skills-both written and verbal.

Education and Experience:

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a business-related field and at least 2 years of experience in mortgage lending, or 4 years of relevant experience as an equivalent.
